The minister continued explaining that the University will carry out exams only for the students of the final semester in all the courses. This is what was included in the UGC guidelines and the Maharashtra government has decided to follow it. The University of Mumbai will publish the exam schedule for this year in the next two days. Reports suggest that the decision on the final schedule for college exams will be made and announced to students this week. The official schedule can be found on the official website of the University of Mumbai at mu.ac.in.
Apart from this, the MHT CET exam dates have also been published. The exam to enroll in technical, medical, and dental programs would also take place between July 20-30, 2020.
The state minister of education would hold a meeting together with all university VCs through VC regarding the exams. The decision on the final exam dates would be made at the meeting.
Uday Samant, Maharashtra’s Minister of Higher Education and Technical Education, shared a tweet about it. The tweet read: “An important meeting of all the vice chancellors of the university had been organized through VC regarding the exams. This meeting will cover the topics that UGC has pointed out. After discussing this with the Honorable Governor and the Honorable Prime Minister, an appropriate decision on the examinations will be made within 2-3 days. “
He added that the government would establish committees to discuss and prepare the final timetable for pending exams at the University of Mumbai.
According to reports, the state’s education minister revealed that they are trying to follow the academic schedule according to UGC guidelines, which means that the exams will take place in July, the results in August and the new academic year in September.
