Xiaomi’s flagship, which was launched in the Chinese market previously, will launch today on the launch pad in the Indian market. The Mi 10 now teases that it will be sold through Amazon India. The online e-commerce platform has already promoted a dedicated microsite confirming the availability of the Xiaomi flagship. The latest revelation comes a day before the official launch set by the largest Chinese phone.
The launch is an online event and you will see the presentation of the Mi 10 5G and a Mi Box model. A website has been published on Mi.com confirming the debut of Mi Box.
The dedicated microsite on Amazon suggests that the Xiaomi Mi 10 will be available for purchase on the online platform shortly after its launch in India. Xiaomi will also sell using its Mi.com as well. The microsite also shows that customers who pre-order the Mi 10 will receive a free Mi Wireless Power Bank worth Rs 2,499 that hit the Indian market in March.
The microsite also reveals a number of features of the Mi 10. Xiaomi’s flagship will feature a 108-megapixel primary camera that gets optical image stabilization (OIS) and 8K video recording. The page also states that the Mi 10 will support the “world’s fastest wireless charging” and will be powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. The phone is also expected to get a 3D curved TrueColor E3 AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top and stereo speakers.
The price of the Mi 10 in India will be officially revealed at the launch event. However, Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain had hinted that due to factors such as direct import, the recent GST surge and a depreciating rupee, there would be some differences on the upper side over the price announced in China in February. The Mi 10 was launched in China with a starting price of CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 42,800).
Xiaomi is also slated to launch its first truly wireless headphones in the country. Xiaomi has yet to confirm the name of the headphones, but the company is likely to bring the Mi True 2 wireless headphones that are already available in the Chinese and European markets.
Once launched, the Mi True wireless headphones will take on multiple wireless devices in the Indian market, starting with products like Realme Buds Air, Oppo Enco Free Buds, and other brands.
