JAMMU: a young man of 22 years Hizbul Mujahideen Of surface worker was arrested and a gun and a wireless team recovered from him in Jammu and Kashmir Doda district on Thursday, authorities said. The arrest came after acting on information from a 27-year-old terrorist. Tanveer Ahmed, who was held in the town of Tantana in Gundana Doda area on Wednesday, officials said.
Ahmed had revealed the name of Alam regarding his association with the Hizbul terrorist Haroon, who died in an encounter in January, according to officials.
Alam was picked up by a joint police and army team in the Sawanda area, officials said.
During the interrogation, Alam revealed that he had hidden a pistol and wireless device that the terrorists gave him. He was taken to the village of Shiva, where a pistol, a wireless team from the scene, was recovered, officials said, adding that there were more interrogations.
