Covid-19 cases near 54,000 mark, Kerala and Odisha report no new ones: Top 10 Points

The national Covid-19 case count approached 54,000 on Thursday and more people tested positive for deadly virus infection in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan among other states, but the number of people who recovered also crossed 15,000.

At least 4,500 new cases have been detected across the country since Wednesday morning, according to figures announced by different states and union territories. The death toll across the country has now risen to 1,783, while paramilitary forces also reported deaths.

9) Interacting with opposition leaders, Maharashtra Prime Minister Uddhav Thackeray expressed his confidence that the coronavirus pandemic in the state will be reduced later this month.
