Xiaomi has added another product to its portfolio in India. The company, while known for its Redmi devices, doesn’t just sell smartphones now. From smart appliances to toiletries, Xiaomi sells it all. Now, the company has announced the launch of its Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P vacuum robot.
There could be no better time for the company to launch this product in India. With the current coronavirus pandemic, people are now more cautious about cleaning and disinfecting their environment.
The new robotic vacuum cleaner comes with features like the two-in-one sweeping and mopping function, the laser detection system (LDS) for navigation and even the remote control using the Mi Home app. The robot vacuum also includes 12 high-precision sensors for better movement around the home / office.
Xiaomi’s new Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P comes with a scanning range of eight meters and a sampling rate of 2,016 times per second. Because the product is designed with Indians in mind, the vacuum cleaner offers custom sweeping and mopping modes for Indian homes.
To get the most out of the product, users can download and install the Mi Home app on their Android and iOS smartphones. The app will bring features like remote control, real-time mapping, scheduled cleaning, and more. By using the app, users can also create virtual walls, which will prevent the robot from cleaning those areas. The function can be useful when users want to avoid carpets or bathrooms.
The smart cleaner uses a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU under the hood along with a dual-core Mali 400 GPU. This is backed by a 3,200 mAh battery that is claimed to offer an operating time of 60-130 minutes on a single charge.
At a price of Rs 29,999, it may seem quite expensive to some. However, the number of features on offer justify the price to some degree. Additionally, the company has currently set an introductory price of Rs 17,999 on the product, making it a great deal for people looking to enter the smart home experience. In terms of the deals, customers can get one of these EMI options at no cost starting from just 2,999 rupees a month. But, it’s worth noting that the vacuum is currently available through the My Crowdfunding platform and shipments will start on September 15.
