During a video press conference, Rahul Gandhi said the blockade was like a “pause button, not a solution for the coronavirus.”
India is currently under a national blockade that started on March 25. Initially, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced that a 21-day blockade until April 14, however, extended until May 3, now virus cases continue to rise across the country. Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund said it supports India’s proactive decision to impose a national blockade on its fight against the coronavirus.
