COVID19: Blockade in Delhi
New Delhi: The Delhi government decided on Thursday to remove the seal from a COVID-19 containment area in the eastern district, as it has not reported any new cases in the past four weeks.
The Vardhaman apartment, in eastern Delhi, is the second containment area the government has sealed, according to an official statement. The first was Mansara Apartment, which is also located in the eastern district.
“It was possible after the successful implementation of Operation SHIELD by the Delhi government,” he said.
The Delhi government first successfully implemented ‘Operation SHIELD’ in the Dilshad Garden.
The SHIELD operation means sealing, home quarantine, isolation and monitoring, essential supply, local sanitation and door-to-door control, according to the statement.
