Xbox Series X First Look event puts games in the spotlight

Since Microsoft announced the Xbox Series X Last December, the company maintained strict control over what the games will be like for the console. That changes a bit next week, when Inside Xbox shows off the next-gen device.

The First Look event for Xbox Series X will take place at 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT on May 7, according to a tweet from the official Xbox account on Twitter Thursday. Games from the company’s global developer partners will be on display during the show. Microsoft said IGN that their first party games will be shown later in the summer.

One of the games that will probably be promoted on May 7 is the recently announced one. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The last entry in the franchise made its debut on Wednesday and will launch on the Xbox Series X. Another possible title is Cyberpunk 2077. The science fiction RPG will be released in September, but it will be released on the newest Microsoft console and will make use of the device’s Smart Delivery feature, which allows owners of the Xbox One version to update for free to the version of the X series.
