West Bengal police detained the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday for tweeting a bogus publication amid blocking the coronavirus COVID-19.
On Thursday morning, the West Bengal BJP released a tweet with a report that the state government is bringing 3,000 students on three buses.
The state police took to the microblogging site Twitter clarifying that it is not right. He claimed that 2,368 students from West Bengal are being brought from Kota from Rajasthan by 95 buses with state government officials as escorts and are likely to arrive on May 1 (Friday).

In another tweet, he warned against spreading rumors or fake news as it could lead to the responsible person in trouble. He warned against legal proceedings against the person concerned.

In reaction to this, the BJP criticized the West Bengal police and called him an assistant to the Trinamool Congress (TMC). In addition, he said the tweet refers to a media report, asking the police to stop terrorizing the media to change the reports.
