Rishi Kapoor breathed his last day today. The actor was 67 years old. Alia Bhatt was seen comforting an emotional Neetu Kapoor at Rishi’s funeral. The actress stood like a pillar with the Kapoor family as they said their last goodbye to the late actor.
Now, Alia has taken to Instagram to share photos of Rishi Kapoor with Neetu Kapoor and her son Ranbir Kapoor. The actress also wrote an emotional note, calling Rishi her friend and father.
She wrote: “What can I say? About this beautiful man … who brought so much love and kindness into my life. Today, everyone talks about the Rishi Kapoor legend … and even though I have known him that way completely.” my life … for the past two years, I’ve known him as a friend, a fellow Chinese food lover, a total movie lover, a fighter, a leader, a beautiful storyteller, an extremely passionate tweeter and a father. For the past two years, the love I have received from him is a warm hug that I will always cherish. I thank the universe for giving me this opportunity to meet him … today most of us can probably say that he is like a family, because that is how he made you feel. I love you, Uncle Rishi! I will miss you forever! Thanks for being you! “
Alia shared an image of Rishi and Neetu and wrote “I love you”. Sharing a childhood photo of Ranbir with her father, she wrote: “Beautiful children.”
Rishi Kapoor suffered from leukemia in the past two years. He remained in New York for over a year for treatment. He returned to India in September 2019.
The veteran actor was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday morning. He left us at 8:45 in the morning today (Thursday). His death left his fans, friends and family heartbroken.
He was cremated at the Chandanwadi crematorium in Mumbai. Only a few friends and family attended the funeral due to the ongoing blockade.
