ZA / UM’s hit RPG Disco Elysium launched today on Mac. The team is still hard at work on upcoming ports on Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.
Elysium Disc released on PC last year to critical acclaim. The BAFTA winning RPG is an incredibly innovative exploration of how to make narrative and a must-have game. And now, playing it has become even easier. While developer ZA / UM is still working hard on console ports, the team released the Mac port to a hungry public today. Check out the new launch trailer below.
For fans of the genre, Elysium Disc it is a revelation in storytelling. You play as a tough detective who works a city block. The game uses a tremendously ingenious dialogue system that considers your character’s traits to play a role in what you can do. This is not just the classic Fallmechanical style. Add tons of depth on top of that basic idea to create something you’ve never seen before.
It’s great to see such a revolutionary game migrating to other platforms. Obviously, the PC user base is huge, but there are still tons of people who prefer console games. Switching to Mac doesn’t help that crowd too much, but it does indicate that Elysium Disc on more platforms it is a number one priority for the developer. They have yet to announce when the Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One ports will come; however, I would wait for them sooner rather than later.
Elysium Disc It is now available on Mac and PC. The game is coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One in the near future. If you haven’t taken a look at the game, I recommend you do so. It is an amazing experience showing off some of the best digital RPGs.
