When Beyhadh returned with its second season on December 2, 2019, fans were unable to control their excitement. With the first episode, fans loved the cast and the intense feel of the show. Each episode gave them an insight into the Mayan hatred of MJ and how much he wanted to destroy his peace for whatever he did to him in the past. However, although the central theme was still revenge, viewers were also able to see the romance of Maya and Rudra. As Maya planned to use MJ’s son against him for revenge, she became attached to Rudra and the two became the new TV couple.
MayRa became a fan favorite, and the public wanted to know how her story was progressing. However, before his beautiful story could have a logical ending, the channel decided to abruptly carry it out. 1. The departure of Rajat Verma, also known as Rishi’s death:
The actual drama began when Maya took her first revenge on MJ. Maya played her cards well and approached MJ’s youngest son, Rishi (Rajat Verma). With her tactics, she made Rishi fall in love with her. The young man fell in love with Maya after she saved him from drowning. However, he was unaware of her schedule and went on to do what she said. Later, when she was sure that Rishit could do anything for her, she asked him to prove his love for her and cut off her wrist. She asks him to play the trick and blackmail Maya.
Initially, Rishi was skeptical, but his love and trust in Maya forced him to do the unexpected. He cut his wrist with a knife, without question. While Maya had claimed to help him and be by his side, she left him dying alone in the room. She killed him to avenge the death of her innocent unborn child. This was Maya’s first successful revenge against MJ, making fans eager to see how the drama unfolds further.

2. Moving to digital:
In February, rumors began to circulate that Beyhadh 2 will stop broadcasting on television and take a digital route. The show’s creators were planning to switch the broadcast of the show from television to digital platforms. The reason cited behind the big decision showed low TRP. Apparently Sony had decided to disconnect the show on television, however, since it was working well on their platform, they were willing to continue to push it digitally.
Within days of speculation spreading, the channel crushed the news. In an open statement, Sony stated: ‘The rumors about Beyhadh 2 going off the air and moving to OTT are unsubstantiated and not true. Beyhadh 2 is a finite story and will meet its logical end as planned on the channel. ‘
3. Schedule change:
A few days after the rumors aired, Beyhadh 2 was switched to a new schedule. Yes, the creators changed the show’s broadcast time, giving fans a big hit. While it aired at 9 p.m. from the start, the schedule changed to 10:30 p.m. from mid-March. Starting on March 16, 2020, Beyhadh 2 began releasing new episodes at 10:30 p.m. on television. Many fans were unhappy with this sudden change, and also expressed disappointment on social media.
4. Shivin Narang fine fracture:
In December 2019, the news that Shivin Narang was injured on the sets caught the eye. It happened when Jenny and Shivin were shooting at a construction site the first time. During filming, Jennifer was in an elevator used by construction workers. For security reasons, a harness attached to it. But things went wrong and took a turn when the elevator lost control. In a sudden movement, the elevator fell from the top floor. Jennifer’s harness got stuck in the elevator and she was dragged with it.
Witnessing all this, Shivin ran to her to help her. He approached her and saved her. However, while rescuing Jennifer, Shivin injured himself and injured his hand. She suffered a hair fracture, while Jennifer escaped with some bruises. But, both Jenny and Shivin were terrified after the incident.

6. The entry of Diana Khan, alias Myra:
Diana Khan, best known for Bahu Begum, also joined the revenge drama in January. She played the role of Myra Mehra, who was Manas’s girlfriend, that is, Maya’s brother. Myra entered to take revenge on MJ, who had brutally killed Manas. She begins to hate MJ for her bad deeds and teams up with Maya to ruin her life. So after Rishi’s death, she sacrifices herself claiming to be his girlfriend to save Maya from MJ. His role was filmed, but it brought many new twists to the already twisted story.
7. Ankit Siwach, alias for Vikram entry:
Just a few days before the show came to an end, the Beyhadh 2 story had a drastic change. Maya apparently lost her memory, after a fight with MJ, and a new participant made her way. Well, this is Ankit Siwach, also known as Vikram Jaisingh. He entered as Maya’s past and revealed many unknown secrets to her life. Vikram revealed how he saved Manvi’s life, gave him a new life and identity, but ultimately betrayed her. She married him, but ended up cheating on him.
He returned to Maya’s life to retrieve it and start again with her. However, in the process of doing so, he reveals his ugly side and kills Rajeev and Nandini (Maya’s mother). Later, Maya asks him to support her in ruining MJ’s life.
