Gone are the days when Kapil Sharma would vent his frustration on Twitter. His new calm on social media caused a fan to tell him during a Ask Me Anything session that it’s been a while since he angrily tweeted something.

The fan said “aaj kal mazaa nahi aa raha (not fun nowadays)” as Kapil no longer expresses his anger on Twitter. The comedian and TV presenter replied, “Wah … tamasha dekhne walo me se ho aap (Wow … are you one of those who likes drama)?”

In September 2016, Kapil angrily tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) allegedly asked him for a Rs 5 lakh bribe for his office space. Two years later, he apologized to the Prime Minister on his show.

Later, in April 2018, Kapil abused the media and the “system”. The tweets were later removed and a new tweet said that their account was hacked. However, he later admitted that he was the one tweeting and his team had him delete everything.

Kapil, popularly known as the “King of Comedy” on Indian television, was also asked who it is that makes him laugh and got the cutest answer. “These days my little daughter,” she said, naming her four-month-old baby Anayra. Responding to another fan, he said that his daughter’s “beautiful smile” instantly brightens her day.

Kapil is currently isolating himself with his wife Ginni Chatrath and daughter Anayra. It was speculated that he would film new episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show from his home, but it turned out to be untrue, as filming is not possible without the crew and audience.

A fan suggested that once the closure is over, Kapil should shoot for a special episode of his show, with doctors and police as guests. The comedian agreed and called them “true heroes at this crucial moment.”
