According a Facebook tweet, you are expanding your group limit for voice and video calls to 8 people now. This tweet doesn’t reveal when we can expect this update to roll out, but last week, in Will Cathcart, boss WhatsApp, announced that this function will be implemented in the last week of April. He also confirmed that this update will be available for Android and iOS users.

Previously, you could only connect with up to 4 people (including the host) on a WhatsApp Group call.

Zuckerberg also announced that Facebook has also released Messaging rooms where up to 50 people can connect simultaneously via video call. People from different platforms like WhatsApp, Portal, Instagram they can join the video call if they have the link for the corresponding video call. This feature is not yet available worldwide.
