Meanwhile, Google did some improvements to Google Meet and Google Duo including a new design, features, higher group limit, etc., so that users have a better experience.
WhatsAppOn the other hand, it has already been quite popular, but its limit of video calls for 4 users was bothering many people. However, the platform has quickly rectified that and has announced The app will soon support a video call with up to 8 users (including the host) simultaneously.

According a Facebook tweet, you are expanding your group limit for voice and video calls to 8 people now. This tweet doesn’t reveal when we can expect this update to roll out, but last week, in Will Cathcart, boss WhatsApp, announced that this function will be implemented in the last week of April. He also confirmed that this update will be available for Android and iOS users.

Previously, you could only connect with up to 4 people (including the host) on a WhatsApp Group call.
A Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s post says: “More than 700 million daily assets use WhatsApp and Delivery courier to call. In many countries, calls have doubled since the Covid-19 outbreak began. To help you stay connected with your entire family and groups of friends, we doubled the number of people who can participate in a group video call from 4 to 8 and up. WhatsApp“
Zuckerberg also announced that Facebook has also released Messaging rooms where up to 50 people can connect simultaneously via video call. People from different platforms like WhatsApp, Portal, Instagram they can join the video call if they have the link for the corresponding video call. This feature is not yet available worldwide.
