Suniel Shetty says the Dhadkan sequel should be starring him and Akshay Kumar’s sons Ahan and Aarav

Actor Suniel Shetty feels that both he and Akshay Kumar are too old to appear in a sequel to their 2000 movie Dhadkan, but that their children, Ahan and Aarav, could take on the mantle. Dhadkan, directed by Dharmesh Darshan, also starred in Shilpa Shetty.

Suniel told the Navbharat Times in an interview: “Akshay and I have grown old now and nobody will be interested in seeing old men like us on the screen. But it would be great if the sequel is done with our children. But Shilpa’s daughter is very cute and too young to be part of the movie. “

Suniel said she had discussed the idea with producer Ratan Jain, who responded positively. “We also shared this idea of choosing our children with producer Ratan Jain and he also liked it.” The film was being planned, but was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, the producer said. “We were working on the casting. But since the coronavirus outbreak and crash, there have been no screen tests or appearance tests. If everything goes according to our plans, then we can start shooting in 2021, ”he said.

Another sequel to a Suniel Shetty-Akshay Kumar movie being discussed is Hera Pheri 3. Suniel provided a Zoom status update in January. He said, “I don’t think that’s not happening. It’s still there, very much alive and it will happen to the three of us because we are so excited. Things have to be resolved and they are. So we are definitely doing it.”
