Filmmaker Karan Johar apologized for his posts on social media during the coronavirus blockade, after watching a video that sarcastically pointed out that the real heroes are celebrities.

Karan wrote on Twitter, in reaction to the video: “This hit me hard and I realized that many of my posts may have been callous to many … I apologize profusely and wish to add that none of them was intentional and came from a place to share, but clearly may have lacked emotional foresight … sorry! “

The video in question has several people, doctors, nurses, store workers, etc., talking about the difficulties they have faced during this time and how celebrities have been helping them get ahead. One person sarcastically mentioned Ellen DeGeneres comparing the quarantine to a prison term, while another person, who had lost her job, said seeing a celebrity enjoying herself in her sprawling home was exactly what they needed.

Karan has been sharing almost daily Instagram posts from his twins, Yash and Roohi, spending time teasing him. Her videos have also offered a peek inside her luxurious home and dressing room.
