KOLKATA: The ruling Trinamool Congress on Saturday described the two inter-ministerial central teams (IMCT) that visited West Bengal to assess the situation of COVID-19 as “the most insensitive team in India”, which it said has tried to spread the political virus “blatantly”.
Core teams have been visiting hospitals and quarantine centers and meeting with officials in Kolkata and Siliguri.
“As expected, the IMCT visit to #Bengal has been useless. Visiting districts without hotspots, asking #Bengal for an audit committee, has already been operational since early April,” the leader said in a tweet. from TMC at Rajya Sabha Derek O’Brien. .

The two core teams have alleged the lack of cooperation from the West Bengal government.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had criticized the Center for sending teams to investigate the state’s readiness to tackle the COVID-19 outbreak and alleged that faulty test kits had been sent to the state.
