746 new cases in Mumbai; 4,909 in Maharashtra

The number of new COVID-19 patients in Maharashtra remained below 5,000. On Tuesday, the state saw an increase of 4,909 new cases.

Whereas, 6,973 people were also discharged after recovering. So far, 15.31 lakh people have been recovered.

The recovery rate in the state stands at 90.46 percent.

However, 120 patients also succumbed to the virus statewide.

Mumbai reports 746 new cases

The city of Mumbai reported 745 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the overall count to 2.59 lakh.

While 939 people recovered during the day, 15 people lost their lives to the virus. The total toll has reached 10,320.

Active cases stand at 17,444.

While the recovery rate is 89%, the doubling rate has increased to 185 days.

Active COVID-19 Cases in Mumbai Dharavi Slums fell below 100 on Tuesday. The overall count in the slum area increased to 3,568 with the addition of six new cases.
