Mohinder Kaur, a resident of Bahadurgarh Jandian village, lashed out at Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday for commenting on her without even knowing her.

In conversation with The Tribune, the 73-year-old said: “Kangana kaun hai, kyu mainu badnaam kar rahi hai, koi dihari principal te nahi jandi, main ta kheti badi kardi ha, main aap khet wich faisal katdi han (which is Kangana Why are you degrading me? I am not looking for any work. I do agriculture and harvest on my own with a sickle).

“We have 12 acres of land, which she canceled herself after her husband Labh Singh was diagnosed with asthma, now her son lives with them together with his wife and children. They tend the fields, but she also goes agriculture and works herself. But what Kangana has said is very wrong, ”he added.

Fighting back Laughing, he said that he gives the worker 500-600 rupees per quintal to pick cotton in his fields, while Kangana can give him 700-800 rupees.

He demanded that Kangana retract her words.

Sharing a photo of the woman at the farmer’s protest, Kangana tweeted: “Ha ha, it’s the same Dadi who had been featured in Time magazine for being the most powerful woman. And it’s available for 100 rupees.”

He later deleted the tweet.

A Chandigarh-based defender, Hakam Singh, sent a legal notice to the actor for mistaking an elderly woman participating in the rally for the one famous for the Shaheen Bagh protests and claiming that she was ‘available for 100 rupees’ to protest.

Expressing his disgust at making fun of an elderly woman, he sought an apology from her on social media within seven days.
