Kanpur:
A seven-year-old girl was found dead in Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday with her liver removed. Police suspect that the defendant also tried to rape her.
Police said a childless couple in the girls’ village paid Rs. 1,000 to two men who are neighbors of the child to perform a hidden ritual so that the couple can have children.
The two men allegedly abducted the girl on Saturday night. The drunken men first tried to rape her and then killed her, police said.
After this, they allegedly removed the liver from the girl’s body and brought it to the couple as part of the ‘ritual’.
Some other parts of the body could also have been removed, police said.
The boy was found dead in a village on Sunday morning.
All four defendants have been arrested.
“Several teams were deployed to solve the case. The girl’s neighbors, Ankul and Beeran, were detained on suspicion. When questioned, they confessed. They said that a man named Parshuram, who is Ankur’s uncle, paid them some money. to do this … “said Senior Police Officer Brajesh Srivastava.
“They (Ankul and Beeran) were both drunk and tried to misbehave her. After this, they cut her open, took out her liver and gave it to Parshuram.”
They said Parshuram got married in 1999 but had not had a child so far, the officer said.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took note of the crime and ordered officials to crack down on the accused. It has also ordered officials to extend a financial aid of Rs. five lakhs for the victim’s family.
The Chief Minister has said that the case will be heard in a fast track court so that the defendants are punished as soon as possible.
