NEW DELHI: Up to 62 members of the 194th Rapid Action Force battalion deployed to Seelampur and Rohini have tested positive for Covid-19, taking the total number of infected personnel CRPF to 234 so far.
Meanwhile, BSF added 35 more positive cases, including 10 in Delhi and 25 in Tripura, in the past 24 hours. The total number of active cases in the force is around 256, while 2 staff members died and recovered. At CRPF, it is RAF Wing has recorded 62 Covid-infected cases in one day.
The affected personnel belong to two different companies from the 194th Battalion deployed for law enforcement duties along with Delhi Police in Seelampur and Rohini. Everyone is under quarantine at home at White Lee Public School, Bawana.
With 172 cases as of Friday and 62 new cases today, the total number of positive cases in CRPF now stands at 234. This includes 231 active cases, 1 dead and 2 recovered. Meanwhile, six other ITBP employees tested positive on Saturday, bringing the total number of cases infected by force to 100. All of these cases are in Delhi.
