India reported a daily increase of 61,871 coronavirus infections in 24 hours, bringing its tally close to the 75 lakh mark, data from the Health Ministry showed this morning. The number of cases in the country now stands at 74,94,551. In the 24-hour period, India, which is the second most affected country, reported 1,033 deaths related to the virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,14,031. The number of active cases remained below eight lakh for the second day in a row.
