HARYANA RUNS daily special Shramik trains from various railway stations to send migrant workers home. On Saturday 3,600 migrant workers were sent to Bihar and Madhya Pradesh by three trains from Rewari and 1,200 migrant workers were sent to Bihar on the train from Bhiwani.
“All the migrant workers were taken to the railway stations in special buses. In addition to cleaning the platforms frequently with vacuum cleaners, the hands of migrant workers were also disinfected. The health control of all migrant workers was carried out to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Help desks were installed in front of each compartment from where tickets were delivered to each passenger. Tickets for each passenger were stamped with “Paid for Haryana”, which means that travel expenses for migrant workers have been borne by the Haryana government, “Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Saturday.
Anil Marandi from Purnia, who boarded the train, said: “I came here to farm. I had no problem here, but due to blocking, I have to go from here. “
Chhote Lal de Purnia added: “I didn’t want to leave, but my family’s circumstances are such that I have to go home.”
