A 42-year-old man from the village of Dudhar in Bijhri gram panchayat of the Badsar subdivision tested positive for a new coronavirus today. He had returned to the village from Delhi on April 29.

The patient was transferred to Radhaswami Charitable Hospital, Bhota, and samples were taken from 15 of his main contacts and 18 secondary contacts.
DC Harikesh Meena said that the Bijhri panchyat had been declared a containment zone, while the contiguous area had been notified as a buffer zone until further orders.
He said that when the man violated the domestic quarantine rule, action would be taken against him.

One more person, who had returned to Kangra from Delhi, tested positive for Covid 19. The person had returned to his hometown Bala in the Kangra subdivision on April 28.
