The Directorate General of Health Services, on behalf of the Medical Advisory Committee, DGHS-MCC, would soon publish the 2020 NEET orientation dates. The full advisory schedule for granting admission to the MBBS / BDS course would be available on the official MCC site at mcc.nic.in.

Candidates who have qualified for the 2020 NEET exam with the required minimum percentile will be eligible to participate in the counseling round. DGHS has been entrusted with conducting NEET counseling in 2020 for 15% of total admissions seats from all government universities (except Jammu and Kashmir State Universities) for All India quota candidates . Candidates can refer to the important instructions given below.

NEET Counseling 2020: Important Instructions

  1. The NEET 2020 counseling would take place online and the required documents for admission to MBBS are NEET admission card, rank card, score card, date of birth certificate, provisional seat assignment letter / letter of call, prepaid rate receipt, 10 classes, 12 certificate qualification and approval sheets, aadhar card, migration certificate, PAN card, passport size photos and certificates of medical fitness.
  2. Candidates will need to complete the options after completing the registration process by logging into their registered account on the MCC portal.
  3. The seat assignment list would be prepared based on the AIR obtained in the NEET 2020 exam and the options completed on the registration form. The seat assignment list will be uploaded online on the official MCC website.
  4. Counseling for All India Quota positions will take place in two rounds. Seats left vacant after the first round will be carried over to the second round. However, seats that were left vacant after the second round of NEET 2020 counseling will carry over to the respective state quota.
  5. The number of places in the medical schools participating in AIQ counseling has increased this year. With the increase in the number of universities, the number of seats has also increased from 4,064 to 4,591.

NEET Result 2020 Announced on October 16, 2020. This year around 14.7 lakh of students have appeared for the exam of which they have passed the exam. The entrance medical exam was conducted on September 13, 2020. For more related details, you can visit the official NTA NEET site.
