1 Devdutt Padikkal
Royal Challengers Bangalore’s decision to send a 20-year-old to open the tickets hit the mark when Devdutt Padikkal came out in the Indian Premier League for the first time. Having rested last year, Padikkal hit five half centuries in 14 games, scoring 472 runs with a 33.71 average. He is currently third on the list of unlimited players with the most runs in a single IPL season, behind only Shaun Marsh (616 in IPL 2008) and Suryakumar Yadav (512 runs in 2018). Padikkal also became the fourth boundless Indian to score more than 400 runs in his first IPL season.

2 Suryakumar Yadav
Suryakumar Yadav hasn’t looked back since IPL 2018 and has once again managed to score over 400 points in this year’s IPL. While his dominating performance with the bat against most teams impressed fans and cricket experts, Suryakumar’s unbeaten innings of 79 runs on 43 balls against RCB skyrocketed his reputation as a hitter, which he scored a day after lose the ticket from India to Australia. Suryakumar has scored 410 runs in 14 games with an average of 41 and a strike rate of 150 with three half centuries.

3T Natarajan
T Natarajan has been the find of the season for Sunrisers Hyderabad as the left-arm fast shooter has wowed the cricket world with his pinpoint Yorkers and deadly gorillas. What Natarajan may lack in speed, he makes up for most and more with his ability to throw a consistent line and length. The quick left arm has taken 14 wickets in 14 games so far with a 31.35 average and has been a key figure in SRH’s campaign through the playoffs.
4 Ishan Kishan
While Ishan Kishan’s 99-race blitzkrieg against Royal Challengers Bangalore could be considered one of the most memorable innings of the season, he showed his best when he was asked to open the innings in place of Rohit Sharma. For a 22-year-old no-holds-barred cricketer, who took the place of team captain as starter, Kishan showed sincerity and maturity to score two unbeaten half centuries in five games. In 12 games, Kishan has scored 428 runs with an average of 42.55.
5 Rahul Tewatia
He may not have great stats, but Rahul Tewatia proved to be a match winner for the Rajasthan Royals, not once but twice this season. Against Kings XI Punjab, he had scored 53 runs on 31 balls to help RR chase the record of 224. A few games later, he forged a winning alliance with Riyan Parag to help his team achieve an unexpected victory. Tewatia also contributed the ball and took grounds at regular intervals to finish with 255 runs and 10 wickets.
