A 17-year-old girl was raped by a student at a polytechnic university in Uttar Pradesh on campus despite the presence of the police while taking a civil service exam. Her torturers stole her, recorded objectionable videos, and even beat the boy she had come to meet.
The victim alleged that around a dozen students from the polytechnic school on Sunday forcibly took her into the campus where one of them raped her.
The incident took place inside the campus where the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) exam was taking place amid strong police protection.
SSP Jhansi, Dinesh Kumar P., said that two of the main defendants have been arrested.
The victim had gone to meet his friend, a boy, when more than a dozen students approached them. They were forcibly taken into the shelter where they mistreated the victim and beat her friend, the SSP said.
In addition, the accused boys took 2,000 rupees from the girl. One of the students raped her while the others were recording a video.
“When some policemen who were passing near the campus heard the screams of the victim, they took her to the Sipree Bazar police station. The girl who was in a trauma, revealed the entire ordeal to the police and identified one of the accused like Bharat, “said the SSP.
“The defendants are second-year polytechnic students whose real identities have not yet been established,” said Naveen Kumar, director of the polytechnic.
“You have to know if they are hoteliers or not. There is only one security guard on the entire campus whose whereabouts are unknown at the time of the incident, as he was busy with the PCS exams that were taking place at the university on Sunday.” . “he added.
The SSP said that the police have filed a FIR against the main defendants Rohit Saini and Bharat and other unknown persons under sections 120B, 376-D, 395, 386, 323 of the IPC, section 66D of the IT Law and section 3/4 of the POCSO Act. .
The main defendants, Rohit Saini and Bharat, have been arrested.
“Three police teams have been formed to apprehend the other defendant. The girl has been sent for a medical examination. The school administration has been asked to identify the defendant and give his data,” added the SSP.
