152 Pakistani terrorists operating in Afghanistan killed


KABUL: Over 150 Pakistan terrorists operating in Afghanistan were killed in operations carried out by the Afghan forces in Helmand and Kandahar Provincethe Interior Ministry said Sunday.
At a press conference, Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian published a list of Taliban terrorists killed in recent clashes with Afghan forces, Tolo News reported.
“At least 55 Taliban commanders have been killed in Helmand and Kandahar provinces in operations by Afghan forces in response to their attacks,” Arain said.
“152 Pakistani fighters died in Helmand,” he added.
According to a report by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), around 6,500 Pakistani terrorists operate in Afghanistan, most of them belonging to the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The twenty-sixth report of the Sanctions Monitoring and Analytical Support Team on ISIS, Al-Qaida and associated individuals and entities stated that Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a “large terrorist group present in Afghanistan”, has claimed responsibility for several high-profile attacks in Pakistan and has facilitated others by Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and Lahskhar-e-Islam, according to the report.
He said that many former TTP terrorists have joined the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant – Khorasan (ISIL-K) and member states hope the group and its various splinter groups will align with ISIL-K.
