In a shocking incident, three teenagers were arrested in Bhopal on Wednesday for allegedly repeatedly raping a 14-year-old girl for more than a month after meeting her online while playing (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds). Alok Shrivastava, City Inspector, Ashoka Garden Police Station, said Hindustan times that all three defendants are under 20 years old and lived in the Gautam Nagar area of Bhopal.
A senior police officer said that on Wednesday night, the three children were registered under sections 376 (2) N (committing repeated rape of the same woman), 376 DA (punishment for gang rape of a woman under the age of sixteen years) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 5/6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO).
A police officer told the publication that the survivor submitted an FIR on Wednesday night stating that the three children had become friends with her through the PUBG game two months ago. In September, the defendants invited her to meet in an area of Rambha Nagar, where they reside, and when the girl arrived, all three raped her, the official added.
“They also filmed videos of her criminal act and began to blackmail her. They raped her many times during this period,” the policeman was quoted as saying. HT.
The officer added that the girl’s mother observed abrupt changes in the daughter’s behavior, who later told her what happened. Later, the mother and her daughter arrived at the police station and registered a FIR.
The police have arrested the three defendants, who are being questioned. A police officer from the Ashoka Garden Police Station told the publication that the three children would be presented in court on Thursday.
