Thirteen workers were injured after a scaffold collapsed on them during maintenance work on a unit of a private thermal power plant in Uttar Pradesh this morning.
The incident occurred during maintenance work on one of the power generating units at Lanco Anpara Power Limited, located in the Sonbhadra district, which is about 350 kilometers from the state capital, Lucknow.
Although eight of the workers were discharged after receiving first aid, another five are under treatment at a hospital in the area, according to a statement from the power company that operates the unit.
