12 Indian stocks will be included in the MSCI index and two will be eliminated


MSCI will add 12 Indian stocks and remove two as part of its semi-annual index review of its MSCI Global Standard Index. Changes to the components of the MSCI Global Standard Indices will take place as of the close of November 30, 2020.

Morgan Stanley had previously said that the Indian stock market will see a net inflow of around $ 2.5 billion from the next round of changes in MSCI Inc.’s indices, according to Morgan Stanley.

Meanwhile, MSCI also said it will add 30 Indian stocks to its global small cap index and remove 8 as part of the semi-annual review. Changes to the components of the MSCI global small-cap indices will take place as of the close of November 30, 2020, MSCI said.
