India mysterious disease: Patients admitted to hospital in Eluru lead to excess nickel and blood, officials say

According to Dola Joshi Roy, District Surveillance Officer, West Godavari District, Iluru, more than 500 people have been hospitalized in South-East India for an unknown illness. Roy said the weekend patients had a number of symptoms, including seizures, loss of consciousness and some nausea.

Chief Minister Y.S. According to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s office, a team from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) conducted a preliminary investigation and found lead and nickel particles in the patient’s blood sample.

“Similarly, Indian Chemical Technology (IICT) is also conducting tests and awaiting results,” Reddy’s office said in a statement.

According to Andhra Pradesh Health and Family Welfare Commissioner Katmaneni Bhaskar, a team from the AIIMS in Delhi examined 10 blood samples and found traces of lead and nickel. More than twenty samples from Andhra Pradesh are being sent to Delhi, and milk samples are also being tested.

Bhaskar told CNN that no samples of lead and nickel were found in the water samples tested by AIIMS in Delhi.

Two of the 505 people admitted to the hospital have been discharged and one has died, the hospital said on Tuesday.

Reddy said public health personnel and other departmental personnel should also thoroughly investigate the issue and find out the causes of the illness.

As India continues to fight the Kovid-1p epidemic, it has become the second most infected country in the world. Andhra Pradesh is one of the most affected states in the country.
