India has surpassed one million coronavirus cases


India has become the third most infected country in the world with more than 40 million confirmed cases of coronavirus on Saturday.

According to Johns Hopkins University, there are approximately 20,000 deaths, including 2.2 million cases and 1 more deaths in Brazil, followed by Brazil and the United States.

The South Asian country initially saw most of its coronavirus cases in metropolitan areas, but the virus has spread to rural villages where case counts are now on the rise – a heavy burden on an already overcrowded health care system.

With one of the largest global populations, 1.4 billion people in the country are witnessing an abundance of confirmed cases in months, months.

India implemented strict lockdown measures in March, which lasted for two months, to allow health care workers to plan how to manage the upcoming coronavirus surge in the crowded country.
