Images of Daigo’s matchup facing Tokido and Fuudo at the recent CPT Street Fighter 5 event show the success behind Daigo’s training during the quarantine

The Capcom Pro Tour Online 2020 Asia East 1 tournament that took place over the weekend turned out to be quite a show for Street Fighter fans. BST | Daigo was able to take the tournament over competitors like BST | Fuudo, KFGC | Verloren and Rohto | Tokido in which there were almost 350 registered players to compete.

In case you missed the action as it happened live, SFreplay has uploaded CPT2020 event matches with Daigo vs. Tokido and Fuudo.

Anyone who has been following the Street Fighter 5 competitive scene for an extended period of time is probably aware of the friendly rivalry between Tokido and Daigo.

Daigo had a convincing 10-5 win over Tokido at Kemonomichi 2. This was notably during an era when Tokido was considered the best overall Street Fighter 5 player in the world.

Tokido was able to demonstrate a good recovery against Daigo in Topanga 2020. It goes without saying that Tokido completely destroyed Daigo and Guile’s V-Skill 2 with a 7-0 victory.

Recently, Daigo and Tokido participated in an informal lobby of first to 10 facing each other. This time, it was Daigo who climbed to the top. Surprisingly, Tokido was unable to take a single game against Daigo during the informal exhibition.

It almost seems that the situation with the global pandemic COVID-19 is really ideal for Daigo, as he has plenty of time to practice specific situations and confrontations in the laboratory.

Despite working with Kage, Daigo chose to stick with Guile exclusively for Capcom Pro Tour Online 2020 Asia East 1.

When Tokido attempted the Furious Demon Critical Art, Daigo was able to escape and then punish Tokido with a 21-hit combo and ending. Inevitably, Daigo ended up sending Tokido to the group of losers with a 3-1 victory.

Although Fuudo was able to secure the reestablishment of support against Daigo through his 3-1 victory, Daigo was able to quickly adapt against Poison of Fuudo and take the tournament with a 3-2.
