Zsófia Kovács also won a gold medal in jump and half jump at the European Women’s Championships in Mersin, Turkey, on Sunday. In this latest issue, Székely Zója became a silver medalist.

According to the competition website, the Dunaferr SE athlete was in the lead after the first heat, and his rivals couldn’t get past his first practice, which was valued at 14,350 points, in the jump. In the end, he finished first with 14,050 points, and Csenge Bácskay finished in fourth place (13,650).

As a member of the Hungarian national team, Zsófia Kovács won the second European Championship medal in the bronze medal in Saturday’s team competition, as in 2017 she was second in the individual complex in Cluj-Napoca.

The Hungarian gymnast last won a gold medal in continental competition in 2018: in Glasgow, Boglárka Dévai also jumped in first place.
