The success of the anime was soon recognized by the gaming industry as well, as with the first season, related adaptations began to take off, and today we are there with many more video games based on the series than the number of seasons released. A Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution is the next piece in the line, whose story is much more mischievous than we might first think, but we’ll try to briefly summarize the circumstances of its birth. The game was originally released in 2015 Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist’s Legacy. Added to this was a Link Evolution subtitle in 2019 that brought a lot of additional content, but was only available for the Nintendo Switch. In order for Konami to provide the truth to its fans, it has recently made the work available on all other platforms, which is also equipped with additional content updated until 2020.
This is how Yu-Gi-Oh finally came to PC! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, which promises frankly surprising content with thousands of cards and reveals the franchise evolutions before us. This, coupled with the extremely comprehensive training mode, can be especially fun for those who are just joining the story, as we can go back to the beginning in the first games, recalling truly classic cards that many can forget today. There are plenty of matches, awesome opponents, and lots of surprises in each evolution, but best of all, we can figure out step by step what extras have been added to the gameplay. We can not only meticulously come across the new cards, but also the various popular and controversial innovations, as many share the view that Yu-Gi-Oh! Today, unfortunately, he is just a faint shadow of himself, the creators have directed the work in many other directions.

It is magical, since everything is connected to everything, we will have many combinations, and the situation will intensify as we add another evolution to the game. We have the opportunity to place the monster cards in a defensive position, but we can also attack them immediately. This is indicated by separate values, and it’s worth using the particular hero these points are entitled to. If you have 100 attack values and 2000 defense values, you shouldn’t be exposed to fighting on the front line, but your defense will be first class. Again, the game offers an unlimited amount of tactics in this area. There are cards that change the properties of an entire battlefield, such as strengthening or weakening certain types of monsters, but there are direct attacks, recurring spells, cards that can be fused with monsters, and the rescue magic card is especially popular with players. It should be emphasized that the higher the level in the game, the more cards we can meet, so in the end we may have a little chaos in our heads about which card is exactly what for, but it is a great thing to be able to constantly select and compile our own deck. it’s a great way to go both campaign and online fights. Of course, in the first case we can choose a pre-generated deck, but generally we do much better if we join the game based on well-developed and well-known combination solutions, which will offer us an incredible amount of content.

It is a pity that, unlike the content, the creators did not pay enough attention to graphic decoration. A Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist was not a pleasant one in 2015, and the situation hasn’t improved a bit since then. Everything is characterized by maximum minimalism, lifeless and impersonal at all times, even the bushings are just pictures in poor condition. Only the cards can be called beautiful, but that is not necessarily the merit of the developers, nor the optimization, since such an aspect would now be handled by an ordinary smart refrigerator. And then we didn’t even get into the fact that we still don’t see 3D models on the tracks when we played a card, even though it would be a real experience.
User interface, controllability: 
Both the interface and the controllability are on the path taken by the first Yu-Gi-Oh! Video games, so anyone who has been lucky enough to have an episode of the series at least once in their life will be received for well known solutions. On a PC, this means that virtually a single mouse is enough to easily handle all matches, so we couldn’t have wished for a simpler, more transparent system.
gameplay: With a little bit of hype, an amount of raw content has been added to the game, giving a true fan enough months of relaxation, thanks to online battles in the company of virtually endless playability. Along with the current sheets and rules, if they wanted, they couldn’t have gotten more out of the job than that.
Intelligence, difficulty:

Sounds, music: In addition to some familiar sounds and effects, the game has also become especially poor in this area. There are almost no timings, we didn’t get anything out of classical music and melodies, in a word, the end result is a completely empty and incomplete feeling.
