In a demonstration lasting almost an hour, they stood with the occupants of the university with songs and poems.

There is growing resistance from students and professors to the erosion of the autonomy of the University of Theater and Film Arts (SZFE) due to the government’s decision to continue the university as a foundation under Attila Vidnyánszky. More and more world-famous artists are joining the solidarity movement around SZFE, but the Vidnyánszky family is not expanding. Civilians staged a demonstration in Kossuth Square next Saturday at the University of Theater and Motion Picture Arts. Actress Krisztina Szalay created a group of sculptures from those present, and the well-known SZFÉ songs were performed under the direction of Tamás Somhegyi.

At the end of the demonstration, some marched towards Vas Street. Organizers of the event said the event will be repeated every weekend.

Although the demonstration was well received by university students, they did not participate in it themselves. The university resolution is now overshadowed by the fact that Chancellor Gábor Szarka and Deputy Principal Emil Novák have announced that they will not recognize the current semester as a single student.

The blockade has been going on for 67 days and the students still do not want to set aside their demands.
