Donald Trump has reduced Georgia’s disadvantage a bit, but that doesn’t divide, it doesn’t multiply.

Biden won, Trump is still fighting: 2020 US presidential election

Presidential elections were held in the United States on November 3. The competition between Republican Donald Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden was very close in several states, so it was only on November 7 that it turned out that Joe Biden would be the 46th president of the United States. Follow the events and possible consequences of the prolonged presidential election on hvg.hu.

2,600 votes have been found in Georgia that have so far not been reported in the US election results, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution wrote. Those used to the American right wing spreading completely unfounded theories about suspected election fraud may have been skeptical of the news, but that appears to be true now. Snopes, who fact-checked the fake news and suspicious information, also indicated that this time it was real news.

Gabriel Sterling, who oversees voting in Georgia, said the blame wasn’t on the machines that helped the vote counters – someone just didn’t do their job correctly. He also asked the head of the county elections office to resign.

No matter what the election result is, Donald Trump reduced his disadvantage in Georgia by roughly 800 votes, but Joe Biden leads by 14,000 votes. Also, if, by some big surprise, Trump turned himself in to Georgia after the recount, Biden would still win the election.

More troublesome is Trump’s unwillingness to accept defeat and scream electoral fraud. This is the first time that evidence has been found, although not of fraud, but of a mistake with which the outgoing president has suffered, but such cases do not help to convince believers of the conspiracy theories.

The character of the 45th President of the United States is sought to be deciphered by the Dean of the School of International Relations of Johns Hopkins University, beyond being narcissistic, vile and vindictive. In his analysis published in The Atlantic, Eliot Cohen, who has been a consultant to the State Department for more than 10 years, admits that Trump is a complex personality.
