Coronavirus: the second wave

Half a year after the spring outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the second wave of the pandemic has arrived. The radical increase in the number of infected is forcing more and more countries to re-impose restrictions, despite the fact that the world economy has not even recovered from the effects of the spring outbreak. According to the posters, the second wave also reached Hungary. Follow our news!

Since Monday, the Slovenian government once again declared an epidemic situation for the whole country, which was to be expected due to the deterioration of the epidemic data.

This automatically activated the so-called national protection and rescue plan, which means that the state assumes the costs of civil protection and protection against disasters through epidemiological measures. However, epidemiological measures will not be tougher. However, all workers are asked to work remotely on a voluntary basis.

In Slovenia, one in five coronavirus tests came back positive on Saturday, with the highest proportion of infections recorded so far compared to tests. That day, the number of infected people increased by 726 to 15,142. A record 898 cases were reported on Friday. Four patients died, bringing the death toll to 191.

Due to the overload of the health system, epidemiologists will not be able to know from Saturday with whom the infected have been in contact, the neighbors themselves will have to make their contagion known to their acquaintances.
