However, he did not disclose any information that could have assisted in the investigation of the crimes.

After more than 50 years, an Australian hobbyist has deciphered one of the secret messages of an American serial killer known as the zodiac, but that didn’t get him any closer to revealing the criminal’s identity. Officially, five murders are linked to his name in 1968 and 1969 in the San Francisco Bay Area, writes the MTI in the wake of The Guardian.

Australian coder David Oranchak announced on Friday that he has the solution that a group of experts from three countries has been seeking for 51 years.

Hope you have fun while trying to catch me. I am not afraid of the gas chamber as it will take me to paradise as soon as possible because I already have enough slaves working for me.

This is how the deciphering of the message that the stranger sent to the San Francisco Chronicle in November 1969 in the form of a series of symbols sounds.

The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has confirmed that the zodiac message has been deciphered, yet it does not help investigators much in the many decades of struggle after the unknown perpetrator.

“The Zodiac Killer has stunned many Northern California cities and, although decades have passed, we continue to fight for justice for victims of brutal crimes. For the sake of the ongoing investigation, and out of respect for the interests of the victim and their families, we cannot say more at this time, ”a spokesman for the local FBI office told the San Francisco Chronicle, which published the resolution.

The letter posted on Friday was the second message from the zodiac killer, whose code was successfully cracked. Like the one now unearthed, the former had no other purpose than fear and provocation.

Officially, five murders are linked to his name, which he committed in 1968 and 1969. Two more of his victims have managed to escape, but many more crimes are believed to be attributable to him. He himself committed 37 unknown murders.

The allegedly white man began reporting to newspapers and calling the police in 1969, calling himself the Zodiac. If the pages refused to communicate the encrypted lines, he threatened more crime. A total of four cryptic messages appeared, one of which the killer claimed to reveal his identity in this, which remains a mystery to this day.
