Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates’ newest international airline, has confirmed that Athens will be the first destination to fly from Abu Dhabi International Airport on January 15, 2021. The airline will also operate flights from Abu Dhabi to Thessaloniki as of February 4, 2021.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is owned by ADQ (Abu Dhabi Public Investment Fund) and Wizz Air Holdings Plc. joint project.

Alexandria, Kutaisi, Larnaca, Odessa and Yerevan are also part of the originally announced route network. Flights to these cities will begin when the destination is added to the “green countries” list. The network will expand with additional destinations as the airline expands its fleet in Abu Dhabi in the coming months, the airline said.
