Visiting new hospitals has been prohibited

In connection with the coronavirus epidemic, a visit ban has been imposed in other metropolitan and rural hospitals, writes MTI.

Patients cannot be visited from Tuesday at the St. Imre University Hospital in the capital, the North-Central Center of Buda (St. John’s Hospital), the New St. Stephen Hospital and Clinic, the South Pest Central Hospital – National Institute of Hematology and Infectious Diseases and the Bajcsy On the sites of the Zsilinkszky Specialized Hospital and Clinic.

In view of the epidemiological situation, on Sunday a ban on visits to all the inpatient rooms of the St. Roch Hospital in Baja was ordered to protect the health of workers and patients. Visiting patients at the Kiskunfélegyháza site of the Bács-Kiskun County Educational Hospital was also prohibited.

Among Komárom Esztergom county hospitals, a visit ban was ordered in Esztergom and Dorog to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. In Komárom it is not possible to visit the inpatient wards from Monday, and there is a continuous ban on visiting the Santa Bárbara Hospital and the Tata ward in Tatabánya from March.

A ban on visiting the Markusovszky Hospital in Szombathely has also entered into force, covering all hospital sites and departments.

Parcel delivery and contact rights are reportedly guaranteed everywhere. The seriously ill and minors, as well as their parents, can be visited by a direct relative or, at the request of the patient, by a professional from a church or religious association who performs a religious ceremony, in accordance with hygiene standards.
