It was emphasized that, in the virologist’s opinion, if we looked only at health aspects, we would need the same closure as in spring, since this measure would turn the epidemic into a landing branch in two weeks. However, he also added that the leadership of a country must take into account other aspects: in addition to health and economic considerations and the psychological tolerance of the population.
Miklós Rusvai also spoke about the fact that there are three scenarios to stop the second wave:
- He first mentioned the birth of herd immunity.
- A second scenario could be that the epidemic would last until the vaccine.
- And the third is that a favorable climate is approaching, which could have an epidemic effect. As he said, even the dry cold would help curb the epidemic.
The virologist would reach the peak of the second wave in late November or early December if austerity measures are not taken.
