Viktor Orbán: in the worst case, there may be 16,000 in the hospital due to the coronavirus

In his speech before the agenda, the prime minister explained: according to doctors and mathematicians

in the worst case, 200,000 people could be infected at the same time in the country, of which 16,000 are expected to need hospital treatment and 800 a ventilator.

For security reasons, the government counts twice, Viktor Orbán said, adding: There are currently 66,000 hospital beds, but their number is expandable.

He also reported that the management plan developed in the spring in health care is alive, which means that if capacity is exhausted in designated hospitals, one will be added to the circle of care to which workers will be redirected from another institution. .

In his speech prior to the agenda of the first session of the fall session of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister recalled that at the beginning of the epidemic it was made clear that as many jobs would be created as the virus would destroy. That is why the protection of the workplace of the Hungarian people has been, is and will be a priority among the important issues, we will not put this aside – he emphasized. He said that we are there now, that more people were working in August than in January and that almost a million Hungarians could receive some kind of job support or training.

According to the prime minister, it is not only necessary to secure jobs, but also homes. That is why they also decided to extend the moratorium on loan payments for half a year, until July 1, for families raising children, retirees, the unemployed and the public, he added.

He also mentioned that government programs are not rescue packages, but investments that are not only for the present but also for the future, so they launched an investment incentive program for Hungarian companies to protect the jobs of the 170,000 million by HUF.
