The coldest morning this fall was Saturday, measured in Zabaron minus 8 degrees Celsius.

The National Weather Service wrote on its Facebook page that the cold, dry, arctic air flowing behind the front had made its impact, and in many places it started cold in the morning.

By dawn, the clouds had also fallen in the southeast, so it was sunny everywhere, very cold and icy in many places. However, there were also landscapes where there were no disadvantages due to air movement.

So far, the record for this year’s fall season has been minus 3.8 degrees, measured on November 9 at Fülöpháza. It tilted several degrees in Zabar, Nógrád county, where the air cooled to minus 8 degrees. The second lowest temperature was minus 7.6 degrees, also from Mihálygerg in Nógrád county. The third coldest place was also in Nógrád county, Mohora, where minus 6.4 degrees was measured.

At the same time, the meteorological service pointed out that the record for cold weather of November 21, which is still held by Gagyv Guestsi in the municipality of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, had not been broken, where the temperature dropped to minus 13.7 degrees in 1999 .

The air is forecast to warm by plus to 4 degrees during the day on Saturday, and then the temperature will generally drop by minus 4 to plus 1 degree by sunset. Values ​​between minus 7 and minus 2 are expected at sunrise on Sunday and more than 5 to 8 degrees in the afternoon.
