Fidesz MEPs are among the initiators of the exclusion, including Denmark, Finland, Poland, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria and Slovakia. The signatories would like to vote on the issue on December 9.
Népszava recalls that national delegations cannot be excluded, but individual members of political groups can, and the regulation does not specify how many deputies must initiate the procedure.
As previously reported, an initiative was launched in the European People’s Party in the European Parliament to exclude Deutsch for the “radicalization and verbal attacks” of the politician, in particular his statement, which compared the arguments of the Gestapo and ÁVÓ.
