A surfer disappeared off the southwest coast of Australia after probably being attacked by a shark.

Although a surfboard was found in Wylie Bay near the town of Esperance, police are still searching for its owner.

On Friday morning, a witness informed ambulances that a shark had attacked a man on one of the beaches. Authorities rushed to the scene but found no one.

In 2017, a shark ended up right there with a 17-year-old girl, and in January this year, a 57-year-old man was killed by a nearby great white shark, and his body has not been found since. Also in 2014, a 23-year-old surfer in Wylie Bay was bitten by a great white shark. There was similar news this week, but at the time, a surfer swam with incredible luck, also in Australia, where there have never been as many deadly shark attacks as this year since the data was recorded.
