Until construction of the Transport Museum, which will be reborn in the former Northern Vehicle Repair area, is complete, exhibitions and cultural programs will be housed at the Kelenföld booth. The government provided HUF 100 million for a comprehensive technical evaluation of the 130-year-old building and for the planning process for its reconstruction.

The new exhibition space and cultural center in the 130-year-old building will also help us to appear in Budapest with smaller exhibitions in the years to come, until our new house in K enbánya is completed. In the latter, in parallel with the works in Kelenföld, we are also working with steam energy, also thanks to a recent government decision.

Said of the news Dávid Vitézy, General Director of the Transport Museum. In accordance with the Museum’s plans, some of the elements and models of the terrain table purchased by the Minásum Transport Museum in Andrássy út, which was closed at the beginning of the year, will be included here, and a reduced copy of the station Nyugati trains, Zugló and Győr train stations. In addition, some of the 1: 5 scale railway models of the Transport Museum will be presented here.
