Yesterday a total of 150 emergency calls were received to first responders. Firefighters had to intervene in 35 fires and 66 technical rescues were carried out.

The operations control centers also received 45 false alerts and 3 deliberately misleading alerts.

During the day yesterday two people died on the roads: in the afternoon a minibus and a car crashed at kilometer 47 of the M0 motorway, and a few hours later a car fell into a ditch on the border of Beremend in the region of Baranya. Professional firefighters from Budapest and Siklós and volunteer firefighters from Beremend intervened in the cases.

On Christmas Eve, flames broke out in several apartments:

  • A family house and its outbuilding caught fire in Mezőtúr.
  • The roof structure of a building with an area of ​​150 square meters lit by candles in Badacsonytördemicen, Veszprém county,
  • A family house was also burning in the Nagy Király vineyard in the suburbs of Miskolc.
  • An Advent wreath burned down a family home in Tárnok.
  • At dawn on Friday, one of the eighth-floor apartments of one of the multi-story condominiums at Füredi út in Debrecen caught fire in its entirety and firefighters rescued two people from the flames.
