The national medical director ordered a total ban on visits to all medical and hospital care facilities in the country, the National Center for Public Health (NNK) told MTI on Wednesday.
The measure in force since Tuesday also applies to private and publicly funded providers.
According to the NNK, in addition to the provision of protective equipment, a parent or legal representative of a relative, a minor patient in the case of a serious, life-threatening or terminal-stage patient, and a person designated by the mother-mother can perform a visit.
The decision establishes that, in the context of individual equity, the hospital may, after a risk assessment, consider the possibility of contact and, in justified cases, may provide it in other cases.
According to the document, in case of violation of the provisions, health fines ranging from 30,000 to 5 million HUF can be imposed.
